An interesting movie that opens my imagination through the many possibilities of pop culture references that could have been. When two video store clerks find that they’ve erased all the tapes in the store, they replace them by recreating the movies. Starting with two familiar movies, Ghostbusters and Rush Hour 2. Introducing the homemade concept of Sweding which is to put your face in place of other popular movies. Which indirectly touches base on current online sharing which is protected by Swedish government. There’s no doubt about the connection as their official website talking about Sweding the internet in a humorous manner. However, this movie concept could have been taken much further had they not dwelled on a mediocre intro and focused on crafting the concept of Sweding with more popular movies. I can see an entire culture emerging through this movie using YouTube. As homemade type parodies, have yet to hit the market.
